I had a BLAST and was able to see so many different sites and sounds. Including Jazz. Check out this awesome artist, who we got to see play live, Kristina Morales & The Bayou Shufflers!
I got many blisters from walking a lot (note to self: do NOT bring new shoes to a city you have to walk every where to) but I had so much fun in this great city. Here is a list of some great restaurants to check out if you are ever in the city!
(P.S. DOH! Wish I remembered to take photos of all the places we went to!)
Top Restaurants to visit in New Orleans:
1) Mulates
Right across the Convention Center and loading docks for the boat terminal, was a restaurant called Mulates.
With everything from Po-Boys to friend onion rings (which Jean & I had) with GIANT cups of Louisiana sweet tea, you just can't go wrong!
Price range: $$
2) Napoleon House
The first place we went to eat our first night there. This little and quiet place packed a big punch of flavor in their food- and a LOT of it! I had red beans and rice with a side salad and Jean had an Italian meat Po-boy. We started off our meal with bruschetta and it was so good!
Price range: $
3) Dante Pizza
Unfortunately, Dante's does not have a website but mind you... this place was GREAT! So they are forgiven for not having a website for you all to check out. ;)
Pizza by the slice, Dante Pizza has great pizza for a lot of bang for your buck. I got 2 cheese slices and Jean got 2 pepperoni slices and man was that a lot of food! We stumbled upon this little "hole in a wall" by chance and glad we did! Such a great place to check out!
Price Range: $
Until next time,xoxo.
