This past weekend I was able to experience something that I have been dreaming about doing for a long time....
Being able to shoot my first Indian Wedding!
Words cannot explain the amount of fun I had at Harsha & Bianca's wedding. What an amazing learning experience it was. I was accompanied by my good friend Deepesh. We both tag-teamed this wedding beautifully! He is a photographer who has never shot a wedding and I photograph weddings but never shot an Indian wedding... So it was a perfect match. We found out we work really well together and cannot wait to shoot more and grow our passion for photography!
Check out some of the images below. The day before was what is called Pendlikoothuru. :[
A day or two prior to the wedding, the ritual of pendlikoothuru takes
place at both the bride's and groom's places. The boy and the girl are
smeared with nalugu (a paste of turmeric and flour) and scented oils.
After the cleansing, they go for a bath and change into new clothes.]
Stay tuned for some images from the Wedding Day!
